Její život a tvorba ji zavedly do Střední a Jižní Ameriky, Spojených států i Evropy.
V obrazech zkoumá protiklady krásy a destrukce, hojnosti a plýtvání. V současné tvorbě obrací pozornost k mizejícím lesům, znečištěným řekám a rostoucímu množství plastů v přírodě. Prostřednictvím obrazů se ptá, jaký svět zanecháváme příštím generacím.
Mike Hagan
Výtěžek z prodeje svých obrazů po odečtení provize galerie Mike věnuje organizacím podporovaným International Women’s Association of Prague (IWAP).

About the exhibition
Habitat is the environment in which we live. This exhibition brings together two artists with different life experiences and ways of seeing the world around them: Regina’s paintings reflecting on nature and our impact on it, and Mike’s selection of works from different periods of his life.
Regina Boquín
Regina is an architect and visual artist from Honduras, now based in Prague. Her life and work have taken her through Central and South America, the United States and Europe.
Her paintings explore the contrasts between beauty and destruction, abundance and waste. In her current work, she turns to disappearing forests, polluted rivers and the growing presence of plastic in nature. Through these paintings, she asks what kind of world we are leaving for future generations.
Mike Hagan
Mike is an American painter who has made Prague his home after many years of living in different countries. The works on display offer a look back at different periods of his painting and the inspirations behind them.
His main medium is watercolour, with tempera and gouache also represented. He is drawn to the challenges and possibilities that come from the interaction of paper, water and pigment.
Mike will donate the proceeds from the sale of his paintings, after deduction of the gallery’s commission, to charities supported by the International Women’s Association of Prague (IWAP).
Dance performance · Agáta Jarošová Perez
Agáta is a Czech-Spanish-Uruguayan dancer and choreographer. She studied at CNDC Angers in France and La Manufacture in Lausanne, Switzerland, and received a master’s degree in Dance and Arts in Paris in 2020.
Her work explores the body and its capacity for transformation. Alongside her own performances and international collaborations, she teaches dance and movement. Her current project, Entre (mezi), created with Lara Guix, brings together dance, visual art and object theatre.
For the opening, Agáta will present a short performance inspired by the forms, colours and materials of Regina’s paintings. Through movement, she explores a world in constant transformation, where the end of one form becomes the beginning of another.
Poetry reading · John McKeown
The evening will also include a reading by Prague-based poet and writer John McKeown, who will present one of his own poems.
The exhibition runs from November 1 to 29, 2026.
The exhibited paintings will be available for purchase.
Come and meet the artists, enjoy the performance and stay for a glass of wine. See you at 2 deci Vinohrady!
